Obama or McCain? Who I am Voting For….

Neither, for two reasons.

1) To me, the biggest issue concerning the US right now is definitely the economy and the potential collapse of the dollar. I dont feel as if both of our presidential candidates are capable of handling such an immense task. They both voted for the bailout plan, and this temporary solution will just make things much worse. The Federal Reserve is putting in so much money that we dont have into the system, that the US is heading towards a similar path taken by Germany in the 1920’s. During that time, Germany’s currency dropped like crazy and their money pretty much became worthless in less than a year. As a person that does alot of business and investing overseas, this could be a major problem.

To me, I dont see Obama or Mccain making any progress towards addressing the root of our financial problems and I fear we are just beginning to see a glimpse of a new global depression. That is why I vote …. Ron Paul 2012!!!

2) I’m currently in the Philippines and I cant vote over here….

Digital Filipino Bloggers Networking Event

I just came back from my first blogging event this past saturday. I didnt really know what to expect other than I would meet quite a diverse bunch of people.

Usually bloggers come in all different shapes and sizes… Whether its your computer technology geek, your fashion guru beauty queen, or grandma sitting in the back of the room blogging about her family secret recipes… One thing was pretty unanimous, everyone seemed to welcome you with wide open arms. If youre a blogger, you’re family. I am in no means your typical avid blogger, but this past saturday inspired me to step up my game just a little bit.

The event started off with a bunch of free food! It was pretty good surprisingly and I even went back for more cream of pumpkin soup. They also had some chicken, beef and vegetable dishes…
After that there was video presentation from PAGCOR (the casino that sponsored the event), some chick that sang and then presentations by a few of the the top ranked 50 Filipino Bloggers. Afterwards there was a raffle, a free poker tournament with cash prizes (which i took 3rd in), and free time to socialize while sipping on on some free wine.

Thank you once again Janette for setting up the event and hosting it

Heres a pic of me and Jehzeel, the Number 1 top rated blogger in the Philippines.

Overall, I gained a short insight on the world of blogging and the benefits involved. I also picked up a few tips on how to improve my blog from several willing more experienced bloggers. Blogging is a great way to express yourself and relieve some of the stress built up throughout your daily life. It’s also a great way to meet new friends, business contacts and improve your writing ability. It can also be time consuming and challenging as well.

Buffet Restaurants - Saisaki Sushi Review

Buffet Restaurants

To all the people that keeps up with my blog on a regular basis, please leave me some comments on what type of material you want to know more about… im starting to run out of ideas. Oh, special shoutout to kevin… whereve u been man, glad to have you back

Buffets back at home cant compare with the ones here. I’ve been going to so many all u can eat joints lately, that i figure its about time i shared a little of what they got here to offer in the Philippines.

There are many different sushi buffets around my pad, but the place that I decided to eat at tonight is called Saisaki. Saisaki is a probly a mid-tier, casual sushi joint that you could hit up on an every day occasion. The price is a lil bit steep for the average restaurant, but not too much where you feel like you gotta sneak home a lil some some to get your moneys worth.

For a measly $10 ( I know.. kinda pricy for out here), you get a full sushi bar (no fresh scallops, or uni), a wannabe teppan yaki grill, a fresh sukiyaki/soba/udon bar, a bunch of fillers, and a filipino mariachi band that will seronade you 3 songs, right by your table for 50 pesos ($1).

I like how this place provides you with a variety of options so you never run out of things to eat.

sometimes, u just cant wait

This time around… the food was just okay. Every sushi buffet has the standard sashimi and because the fish is local, its always fresh… so theres no brownie points there.

The already cooked foods.. chickent teriyaki, tonkatsu, and a buncha other fillers they give u to keep you from eating the good stuff were just average, although the tempura was pretty good. The ramen wasnt anything too special.. but then they never are at buffets…

the end result…

eh, i dont know how to put it… it wasnt that great, but it wasnt that bad at the same time… maybe i was just a bit cranky that they overcharged me for a beer ($1.50 are you kidding me???)

I give it a 3 stars on munch punch (the filipino yelp)
